The Kenya of Central America, Guatemala arguably has the finest flavours in the region’s coffee lineup. With some of the highest-grown coffee in the area, Guatemala not only has refined tastes and pleasing acidity, but it often expresses delicious milk chocolate notes. The resulting cup is satisfyingly balanced. The country’s highly volcanic soil – result of around 37 volcanoes – and the fact that it still grows some of the older, more elegantly-flavoured coffee tree varieties, contribute to the superior cup quality.
